Return of the boredom scum!!
6:37 PM 3rd november 2007
Chandigarh
a mass yet not so strange behavior has been noticed among all of "us". increasing number of sightings has confirmed that we have been hit by the B- virus. B for boredom ofcourse... no matter where u are u wouldn't be able to miss the spectacular n omnipresent "YAAAWWWNNN"
the repeated typing of things like "im so bored", "what else", "anything new" has proved that we are all obviously bored to an extent that our future seems in danger. only a new striptease bar in town could sve us now i guess. god help us all. That also means that our new god is/are.. ps2, chicks, movies, orkut, soup stalls, gigs. We have certainly entered another era, marked by the presence of sloth all over. once again man kind would have to strive hard to come across unharmed.. just like the Y2K and the alien invasion.
till then goodbuy my friends.

Converse
Ok well these are my awesome new converse. My sis bought them for me on diwali. Got them for 1800 bucks. If u look carefully u can see that they have the same design on the inside as on the outside, so the top can be folded and the design overlaps and stays complete. The design here is basically the converse all star logo... Pretty cool Haan.:)

Transformers....

"Transformers the movie" - is definitely one of the bad ways to waste your time. After waiting for so long for it to release in India, me n a few of my friends bought the tickets for the morning show(9:20!!) ya well it saved us a lotta money. The best parts about the movie were....- Megan Fox...the hot chick in the movie...n she is "HOT"
- The transformers(the robots). ya their designs were great n the way they transformed from and to cars all through the movie was awesome.
- The caramel popcorns that i had were also very nice!!
The things that were bad and kinda stupid about the movie were--
- The fight sequences...were not given much detailed effect...most of them were just through firing of weapons...whereas a nice robot to robot fight, throwing light on some special tactics would have been much better.
- The old mans glasses that had the location of the cube thing seemed totally unnecessary.
- No past of the transformers and their planet of origin was shown.
- The whole S7 secret agency was dumb and also the S7 leader was shown to be a really dumb person
- The small little "stereo" transformer was very irritating and was given far much more focus than what it deserved.

paper paper every where ...all of it to waste!!!

Hmmm... we all know its happening. The whole "Global warming" thing....i mean except for some characters from maybe south park, who say that there's no valid proof. Well if you live in India, you would definitely know... every year rainfall in areas where it is less it becomes lesser...sea level rises....more kilometers of the coastline gets flooded every year....summers get hotter n winters get colder.
No one takes action....we still use poly bags at the same rate or even more....still use primitive vehicles having bad fuel efficiency n use fossil fuels....etc etc....n then there are thing that cant really be helped. Like using Ac's n Refrigerators...which cant just stop using...something will happen very soon n we all know it.
Yet we do find someone trying to do the needful. Yes not someone actually but a company rather.
Airtel the telephony company in Inda has recently taken measures to reduce the amount of paper consumed due to the billing for the customers. The company has straightforwardly asked its customers to stop demanding --
- Low value bills(bills that can be carry forwarded to the next month)
- Not to encourage paper bill(opt for e-bills)
- Not to request for itemized bills(Detailed bills which require lot of paper.)
Each ton of paper can save
- 17 trees to produce more oxygen
- 1438 litres of fuel to run industries
- 3 cubic yard of landfill space(can be used for housing of the homeless)
- 4100 kilowatts of electricity(to light a blub in the villages)
- Over 26497 gallons of fresh water(to provide for drinking or irrigation)
Yet there are a few people who believe that it falls really expensive for the company to print so many bills n hence it has taken such an action....i dunno i feel how does it matter as long as it helps.
And then there are global companies like "Reader's Digest" oh my god these guy must be the gods of global warming by the amount of paper they waste on their totally bogus and as i must say fraud promotions, advertisements, competitions. They send you a mail not less then twice a month and every time it weighs atleast 400 gms!!! Full of glossy ads about their totally useless new books...n then they have other coupons that are supposed to get u huge discounts on it...but that too only if u participate some money related competition whose result never ever comes out so u keep replying to them n order even more products....i swear those guys should be ashamed of the amount of paper they waste....even after being such a big, old, famous, rich, universal organization.

Black future = Bright future!!
Ever wondered whether we could save electricity only by selecting carefully the color scheme of a web page?? Think for a minute and you already know how.
Let me explain. It is a fact that an average CRT monitor uses atleast 1/3rd more electricity while displaying a white page than a black one...simply because more number of pixels need to be illuminated. Try n hook up a volt meter and check if you don't believe me. Now considering most major websites like google, microsoft etc all have white based pages.
Goolge recieves over 200 million hits a day. Each hit being 10 seconds long(least i could assume).
Thats 200 X 10 = 2 billion seconds!! 2 billion divided by 3600 = 5555.5 hours. average rate of electricity = Rs 3.5 per watt hour....therefore
3.5X 5555.5= RS19444.4.....which would be approx Rs 12963 if the page was black.
But isn't that for one CRT for 5555.5 hours...for one hour it would be Rs. 3.49 only(white page).
And how many CRT's are we talking about?????....consider 50 million ppl in india using comouters...80% having CRT's that is 6250000 in india alone!!!
6250000 X 3.49 = Rs 218125000 per hour which could have been Rs 7270833 less.
I geuss thats a huge price for just a lil change in color.
Well then im doing my part in saving electricity. Makes me feel a lil better bout my self.
bye bye.

15 can save you a 1000
Yesterday....
I did not sleep in the afternoon as i had missed two classes earlier because of it!
So i stayed awake till 5 pm n then picked up my book put on my shoes... got on my scooty n left for my class. The place is very close to my place but i prefer not to walk. Just across the small two wheeler bridge "used" to be a police checking barrier... but now for a month or so it wasn't there
so i had my license, registration, insurance... but not my pollution under control receipt....n this time the cops were there :( ... so i thought i'll take a chance n went on hoping they wouldn't ask for it. I had hoped for a bit too much i guess. They cut a ticket for me. I had requested the officer to try n find an alternative(read bribe)...well maybe because it was independence day or maybe some stupid reason he refused my offers!!... so i reached my class a lil late n my friends tell me that i'll have to pay Rs.1000 got get my license back(had never ever dreamed it would be that much).
Then i went home. I knew i had to pay from my own pocket money but i still tried my luck by asking my parents for some financial help. Then i thought i'll get the pollution check up done n get the receipt. The gey at the booth took Rs 15 n gave my a receipt. Yes he did not even checkmy vehicle!!
it was a sad day.

I think i'l smoke....................................NOT!!!!

Smoke n you’ll die!!.................................If not, you'll surely be a lil poorer!!
Yes smoking kills. We all know it. Its all over the place on the cigarette packs, on billboards, on tv, in the paper…But the people who smoke already know that. They smoke because they want to. When a young smoker see the warning on a pack, he tells his friends “hey did you know...smoking kills” n they say “ha ha hah ah…ya man its dangerous ooooohh” and it becomes a nice little joke. Those who don’t want to smoke please DON’T. No ones telling you to. Heck smokers don’t want you to linger around when they smoke n then make faces at them as tough you were choking to death. Go a way.
So what do we do about it??
We don’t do anything, the government does. The government puts a ban on smoking in all public areas including pubs, clubs, cinemas, restaurants….any place you can think of except for your home n probably your car. But the ban is not nation wide oh no afcourse not…go to any other city of the same magnitude and people smoke like there’s nothing better to do.
Its only here because its
So does it help?....MAYBE. I’ve started seeing more n more people smoking in their cars.
Mocha’s(the place where u get hookahs/sheehsa) guys also have to follow the ban. Though hookahs are allowed….but when there’s less rush they let you smoke cigs in the open area at the back(probably only if you know the guys well.). My friends smoke in small corners, alleys, parks, gardens, near bushes, toilets etc etc.
So what does the government achieve(coz no one else does)?? Revenue! Yes the government does not put a ban on the sale of cigarettes. No that would affect the state economy. Cigarette vendors are to b found at every damn corner. So now what you do is, you buy a cig and smoke it in some corner or any where because you will, that’s what you do, that’s why you bought the damn thing….and then a cop comes n charges you a fine for Rs. 200 /- !!! More money for the government. Yippie!! So go ahead n smoke that cig, make your government richer, you don’t need to live for ever do you?? For the record – I don’t smoke!

Hair-ttitude
How many guys in
People I will get something done to my hair please stop giving a shit about my hair and live with it. I mean when I was in Pune or Mumbai with the same hair no one ever even thinks about my hair. Heck some of them say they are nice!! Why here when will people change around here. Personally I don’t think they’ll ever change. Nothing around here will ever change. They’ve got clubs now but all they do is drink n fight n tease girls… they’ve got money so they have thety’re big cars with even bigger woofers n drive around the same place over n over again thinking they’ll get some chicks..bah… I might get them a trim might get some thing done..but all in all my hair are mine n they’ll remain the same.
